WSHD in Eastport Maine recently shifted to it’s new frequency of 93.3 FM as an LPFM. I heard it this past weekend while visiting the Eastport/Lubec area. Their new signal gets out quite a bit further than their old 10 watt signal on 91.7, which suffered interference with WUMM 91.7 from the University of Maine at Machias.
WSHD is the eaastern-most radio station in the USA, being just a mile from the US/Canada border along Passamaquoddy Bay. It’s a good move for the station which features a mostly automated alternative format, but plenty of opportunity to serve the local Passamaquoddy Indian Nation.
My favorite shows are "Bob Up On The Hill!" & the "Farmer Fred Show" featuring home grown local music.
